Hyundai Ioniq (AE) 2017-2025 Service Manual / Engine Mechanical System / Timing System / Front Oil Seal. Repair procedures

Removal and Installation
1.
Remove the crankshaft damper pulley.
(Refer to Timing System - "Crankshaft Damper Pulley")
2.
Remove the front oil seal (A).

3.
Apply engine oil to a new oil seal lip & outer surface.
   
Remove any debris from the lip portion of the oil seal.
4.
Install the front oil seal (A) using SST (09231-G2100, 09231-H1100).

   
Always use new oil seal.
5.
Install the crankshaft damper pulley.
(Refer to Timing System - "Crankshaft Damper Pulley")
