Hyundai Ioniq: Cylinder Block / Rear Oil Seal. Repair procedures

1. | Remove the dual clutch transmission assembly. (Refer to Double Clutch Transmission (DCT) System - "Double Clutch Transmission (DCT)") |
2. | Remove the flywheel. (Refer to Cylinder Block - "Fly Wheel") |
3. | Remove the rear oil seal (A).

1. | Install a new rear oil seal. (1) | Apply engine oil on the edge of new oil seal. |
(2) | Using SST (09231-H1100, 09231-G2200) and a hammer, tap in the oil seal until the SST face is aligned with the cylinder block assembly rear face.

2. | Install the flywheel. (Refer to Cylinder Block - "Fly Wheel") |
3. | Install the dual clutch transmission assembly. (Refer to Double Clutch Transmission (DCT) System - "Double Clutch Transmission (DCT)") |
Other information:
Removal
•
In case of removing the high pressure fuel pump, high pressure fuel pipe, delivery pipe, and injector, there may be injury caused by leakage of the high pressure fuel. So don’t do any repair work right after engine stops...
These hangers are not designed to hold large or heavy items.
WARNING
Do not hang other objects such as hangers or hard objects except clothes.
Also, do not put heavy, sharp or breakable objects in the clothes pockets. In an
accident or when the curtain air bag is inflated, it may cause vehicle damage or
personal injury...
