Removal and Installation
Air Cleaner Assembly
1.
Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
2.
Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly.
Tightening torque :
Hose clamp :
2.9 - 4.9 N.m (0.3 - 0.5 kgf.m, 2.2 - 3.6 lb-ft)
Air cleaner assembly bolts :
3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb-ft)

Remove the air duct (A).
Tightening torque :
3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb-ft)

Disconnect the air intake hose (B).
(3)
Disconnect the breather hose (C).
(4)
Disconnect the air flow sensor (MAFS) and intake air temperature sensor (IATS) connector (D).
(5)
Remove the air cleaner assembly (E).

3.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Air Cleaner Element Replacement
1.
Remove the clamp and open the air cleaner cover (A).

2.
Replace the air cleaner element (A) with a new one.

If there is any foreign substance inside the air cleaner assembly, clean the inside and replace the air cleaner element.
3.
Close the air cleaner cover and engage the clamp.
   
•
When mounting an air cleaner cover, inspect the rubber seal (A) on the air cleaner cover and replace it if there is crack, tear, or wear on it.
