Hyundai Ioniq: Airbag Module / Knee Airbag (KAB) Module. Repair procedures
1. | Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least 3 minutes before beginning work. |
2. | Remove the crash pad lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") |
3. | Remove the knee airbag module (A) after loosening the mounting nuts. |
4. | Disconnect the knee airbag module connector (A). |
1. | Remove the ignition key from the vehicle. |
2. | Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes. |
3. | Install the knee airbag module after connect the knee airbag module connector. Tightening torque Bolt : 7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft) |

4. | Install the crash pad lower panel. |
5. | Reconnect the battery negative cable. |
6. | After installing the knee airbag (KAB), confirm proper system operation : •
| Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about six seconds and then go off. |
