Hyundai Ioniq: Crankcase Emission Control System / Repair procedures
1. | After disconnecting the vapor hose from the PCV valve, remove the PCV valve. |
2. | Reconnect the PCV valve to the vapor hose. |
3. | Run the engine at idle, then put a finger over the open end of the PCV valve and make sure that intake manifold vacuum can be felt. •
| The plunger inside the PCV valve will move back and forth at vacuum. |

4. | If the vacuum is not felt inspect PCV operation, if operating correctly clean or replace the vapor hose. |
Other information:
WARNING
Always wear appropriate shoes when operating your vehicle. Unsuitable
shoes, such as high heels, ski boots, sandals, flip-flops, etc., may interfere
with your ability to use the brake and accelerator pedals.
Do not start the vehicle with the accelerator pedal depressed...
Switching to Hybrid mode to lubricate engine (Plug-in hybrid vehicle)
This message is displayed when the vehicle is automatically switched to the HEV
mode to lubricate engine while the Engine Start/Stop button is in the ON position.
Maintaining Hybrid mode to protect engine (Plug-in hybrid vehicle)
This message is displayed when the [EV/HEV] button is pressed but it is impossible
to switch from the HEV mode to EV mode due to engine lubrication...
