Hyundai Ioniq: Mirrors / Side View Mirrors
Be sure to adjust mirror angles before driving.
Your vehicle is equipped with both left-hand and right-hand side view mirrors.
The mirrors can be adjusted remotely with the remote switch. The mirror heads can
be folded to help prevent damage during an automatic car wash or when passing through
a narrow street.
The right side view mirror is convex. Objects seen in the mirror are closer than
they appear.
Use your interior side view mirror or direct observation to determine the actual
distance of following vehicles when changing lanes.
WARNING
Do not adjust or fold the side view mirrors while driving. This may cause
loss of vehicle control resulting in an accident.
NOTICE
- Do not scrape ice off the mirror face; this may damage the surface of
the glass.
- If the mirror is jammed with ice, do not adjust the mirror by force.
Use an approved spray de-icer (not radiator antifreeze) spray, or a sponge or
soft cloth with very warm water, or move the vehicle to a warm place and allow
the ice to melt.
Your vehicle may be equipped with a Gentex Automatic-Dimming Mirror with a Z-Nav™
Electronic Compass Display and an Integrated HomeLink® Wireless Control System...

Folding the rear seat
The rear seatbacks can be folded to facilitate carrying long items or to increase
the luggage capacity of the vehicle.
WARNING
Never allow passengers to sit on top of the folded down seatback while
the vehicle is moving. This is not a proper seating position and no seat belts
are available for use. This could result in serious injury or death in case
of an accident or sudden stop.
Objects carried on the folded down seatback should not extend higher
than the top of the front seatbacks. This could allow cargo to slide forward
and cause injury or damage during sudden stops.
